About ProofLens
ProofLens is a free AI content detector that helps you judge whether text, documents, images, audio or video were made by artificial intelligence. It was built on one conviction: you deserve evidence, not a verdict.
Every check produces a confidence band — Likely AI-made, Possibly AI-made, Inconclusive, or Likely human-made — together with a full log of the forensic signals behind it, each explained in plain English. You weigh the evidence yourself, the way a careful reviewer would.
Private by architecture, not by promise
Unlike almost every other AI checker, ProofLens runs entirely in your browser. Your files and text are never uploaded to any server, which makes it safe to check confidential documents, unpublished manuscripts, student work, or private photos. There is no account, no quota, and no paywall.
What ProofLens is not
ProofLens is not a lie detector. No AI detector — free or paid — can prove authorship. Detectors that promise certainty have wrongly accused students and writers. ProofLens tells you when the evidence is thin, and its results should never be the sole basis for accusing anyone.
